           Friedlander,, a student of math and physics, decided to bring his two talents together when he was inspired by a kinetic light show in 1970, and from then on, he began pursuing a passion for making his own light sculptures. It is a relatively simple setup : pinning strings and chromastrobic light. "Chromastrobic light is light that changes color faster than the eye can see, causing the appearance of rapidly moving forms to mutate in the most remarkable ways," according to Friedlander.   1. This reminds me of when I went to CTY and saw one of these "kinetic light structures" in the hallway. I think it is really cool seeing as how people make lights turn into the center of attractions by changing its colors and making it move. Light has always been one of my favorite things to talk about, but this is really cool. I really wonder how the people make these light structures.

  3. Strange to think something so simple could end up looking so complex. This reminds me of when you blow out a candle, but the tip is still red hot and if you wave it around it all looks connected, same thing with sparklers too. I'm glad science and art have been connected to make something so gorgeous.

  4. This is really cool especially with the pictures you provided us. However, I would like to see more actual science in your article. How does this kind of light actually work, and how does it change color faster than the naked eye can detect? What makes the kind of string behave in a way that it can capture this light so interestingly?

  5. This article is interesting because it shows how science is connected with so many other areas such as medicine, engineering, and in this case, art. Therefore, I believe that knowing basic science concepts is vital in everyday life and in any career.
